Aiken golf enthusiasts will note that University of South Carolina women’s golfer Eila Galitsky was named to the Golfweek Preseason Second Team on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. This recognition follows her inclusion on the Golf Channel Preseason Second Team the previous day, marking her second consecutive preseason All-American honor.
Galitsky, a two-time consensus All-American, was also recently placed on the ANNIKA Award Preseason Watch List on August 27. Her sophomore season included participation in 10 events, securing five top-10 finishes, notably a victory at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate. She currently holds the No. 11 position in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR).
Last season, Galitsky was recognized on the All-SEC Second Team, leading the Gamecocks with a scoring average of 71.76. This average stands as the 11th best in the university’s history and the second-best for a sophomore. Throughout her career, she has competed in 16 events, playing 48 rounds with an average of 71.44 strokes per round. She has accumulated nine career top-10 finishes, with five of those resulting in top-5 placements.
The Gamecocks are scheduled to commence their season at the 2026 ANNIKA Intercollegiate, a three-day event beginning Monday, September 7, at Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.
