The Clemson women’s soccer team earned a 1-0 road victory against Arkansas on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Razorback Field. Graduate goalkeeper Nona Reason made a crucial penalty kick save, and freshman Ella Bach scored the decisive goal, marking her second of the season.
Head Coach Eddie Radwanski praised the team’s disciplined play and Reason’s pivotal save, which shifted momentum. The Tigers achieved their fourth clean sheet in five games, improving their record to 2-1-2, while Arkansas fell to 0-3-1.
Reason concluded the match with three saves, bringing her season total to 13 across five games. Bach’s goal in the 69th minute made her the first Tiger of the 2026 campaign to score multiple goals. Clemson recorded nine shots in total, with three on goal.
In the first half, Clemson focused on defense, taking two shots compared to Arkansas’ five. Reason made an early stop at 1:59 against Vailana Tu’ua and followed with back-to-back saves against Madden McDonald and Molly Teed, keeping the score at 0-0 at halftime.
The Tigers’ offense intensified in the second half, with junior midfielder Anna Castenfelt firing three shots and senior Dani Davis having a shot saved. In the 62nd minute, Reason made a diving save to her left on a penalty kick after a handball call against Clemson, maintaining the scoreless tie.
Seven minutes later, freshman Reagan Thompson dribbled past a defender and passed to Bach, who scored from inside the six-yard box. Arkansas attempted two more shots but could not equalize, securing Clemson’s 1-0 win.
Clemson is scheduled to return home for a match against Gardner-Webb on Thursday, September 3, at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the game is free and open to the public.
