Ten returning Clemson Tigers from the 2026 baseball team participated in various summer leagues following their season, with several players achieving notable success.
Infielder Jackson Taylor was named the New England Collegiate Baseball League Rookie-of-the-Year and started in the All-Star Game. Playing for Martha’s Vineyard, Taylor posted a .319 batting average, including one home run, one triple, five doubles, and 21 RBIs across 25 games. He also recorded a .500 on-base percentage.
Another infielder, Jarren Purify, played with Mahoning Valley in the MLB Draft League, where he hit .316 with four home runs, three doubles, 12 RBIs, and 19 runs scored. Purify also had a .459 on-base percentage and stole five bases.
Four Tigers competed in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Lefthander Brendon Bennett, pitching for Bourne, achieved a 1.76 ERA, allowing only seven hits and striking out 16 batters over 15.1 innings in four starts. Righthander Danny Nelson, with Yarmouth-Dennis, maintained an 0.61 ERA, surrendering just eight hits and three walks while striking out 18 over 14.2 innings in four appearances, two of which were starts. Infielder and outfielder Tryston McCladdie played 10 games for Brewster, and infielder Tyler Lichtenberger appeared in 17 games for Chatham.
In the Coastal Plain League, four Tigers were active, including three pitchers for Lexington County: Chance Fitzgerald, Landon Fowler, and Jake Morris. Fitzgerald recorded a 3.52 ERA with 22 strikeouts against only three walks in 23.0 innings pitched over five starts. Fowler struck out 15 batters in 13.0 innings across two starts, while Morris made two appearances, including one start. Jackson Moore also played 27 games for Florence.
