Augusta Soccer Team Hosts First Family Soccer Night

The Augusta Soccer Team, in partnership with the Wilson Family YMCA, recently hosted its inaugural Family Soccer Night. The event aimed to enhance the accessibility and affordability of soccer for families.

Activities during the evening included children’s soccer matches and semi-professional games, alongside other engagements. Dr. Brittney Kufour, a community liaison, expressed hopes that such events could contribute to the development of a youth academy. Kufour emphasized that soccer instills discipline, commitment, and teamwork in children, skills beneficial both in athletics and in everyday life. She also indicated a desire to provide more games and opportunities for families in the CSRA region.
