The Carolina Panthers announced Thursday, September 3, 2026, the addition of running back Ahmani Marshall to their practice squad. This move comes as the team addresses its depth at the position, particularly with Trevor Etienne currently on injured reserve.

Marshall, 24, is a North Carolina native who played collegiately at Wake Forest and Appalachian State. He spent the previous season on the Cleveland Browns practice squad before being released during their recent roster cuts to 53 players. During his final season at Appalachian State, Marshall recorded 149 carries for 713 yards, averaging 4.8 yards per carry, and scored seven touchdowns.

To accommodate Marshall’s signing, the Panthers released offensive lineman Isaia Glass from the practice squad. The team now has Marshall and Anthony Tyus III as running backs on their practice squad, supplementing the three running backs on the active roster.
