The estate of music icon Dolly Parton, who passed away last week at age 80 after a battle with cancer, has announced Dollyfest, a two-day festival slated for 2027. This event, revealed in a press release Monday morning, will take place in Nashville and London across two consecutive weekends.

Originally conceived as a celebration for Parton’s 80th birthday in January 2026, with Parton herself scheduled to perform and host, the festival will now serve as a tribute to her extensive legacy. Organizer Danny Nozell, founder and CEO of CTK Enterprises, stated that the venues were booked and announcements prepared before Parton’s health challenges emerged in August 2025.

Nozell explained that the decision to proceed with Dollyfest aligns with Parton’s own wishes, noting that a traditional public memorial was not something she desired. Instead, the festival concept, which Parton herself envisioned, will honor her life and career. A private service for Parton was held Friday, attended only by immediate family, with no public ceremony planned.

Parton’s great-niece, Lainey Parton, shared a tribute on Instagram Saturday, reflecting on her granny’s unwavering belief in her dreams and self-worth. Lainey Parton expressed the difficulty of making the post and waited until after the private service to share her sentiments.

Details regarding ticket information and specific dates for Dollyfest are expected to be released soon. Fans interested in receiving updates can sign up on Dolly Parton’s official website.
