Aiken golf enthusiasts are closely watching the TOUR Championship as Ryan Gerard, who has previously found success on the Korn Ferry Tour, is positioned just one stroke behind leader Viktor Hovland after the third round on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Gerard’s performance places him in contention for the FedExCup trophy, a significant achievement following a year where he nearly won the Memorial Tournament and secured a top-10 finish in a major.

Gerard, who ranked 177th in Strokes Gained: Putting in 2023 and 154th last year, has attributed his recent success to returning to a more instinctive, feel-based approach to putting.
