Game 1: A Close Call for the Jaguars

The first game had everybody on the edge of their seats. Madalyn Spinks, the winning pitcher, showed her prowess on the mound, allowing just one earned run across seven innings, scattering seven hits, striking out two batters, and walking three. What a performance!

Fast forward to the seventh inning, where Ryan Hanson doubled and hustled to third base thanks to a solid sacrifice bunt from Kaylynn Scaffe. Kelsea Moody then added to the excitement with an infield single. Finally, Sam Tener came through in the clutch with a fielder’s choice that brought in the go-ahead run, sealing the game for Augusta.

In addition to the winning plays, Ayellad Howard finished game one with a remarkable 2-for-4 performance, while both Scaffe and Hanson contributed doubles. The Jaguars played a clean game defensively, committing no errors, with a spotlight on their impressive double play in the fifth inning.
